Fundamentals of Knee and Shoulder Arthroscopy (FKSA) Course

This one-day intensive program is aimed at providing Orthopaedic Advanced Trainees and aspiring trainees with an opportunity to develop the skills required to perform shoulder and knee arthroscopic procedures. Arthroscopic techniques covered include: diagnostic knee arthroscopy with accessory portals, meniscal repair (all-inside, inside-out, RAMP & root tears), ACL reconstruction, diagnostic shoulder arthroscopy, subacromial decompression, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, and stabilisation techniques.
Candidates will be provided with a manual listing and outlining the fundamental techniques in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. Each candidate will perform these under the guidance and supervision of experienced faculty members. Each candidate will be assessed at the end of the day which will include knowledge of anatomy, demonstration of relevant techniques, communication and teamwork.
